Public Practice specialists Taylor Rose Recruitment have been instructed on an Accounts Manager opportunity on behalf of our client, a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent.

Perfectly suited for an ACA/ ACCA qualified individual (PQ or MAAT also considered) working in practice looking for structured career progression, flexibility, and a supportive team environment.

Managing all aspects of your own diverse portfolio of clients from a range of industry sectors involving the provision of accounts, tax, and business/ client advisory work.

The Role:

Managing all aspects of the client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact
Preparation and review of year-end statutory accounts
Management accounts preparation
Preparation/ review of tax compliance
Identifying tax planning opportunities
Dealing with HMRC and other third parties
Training junior staff and reviewing their work
Assisting with other ad hoc advisory assignments
Business development

You:

ACA/ ACCA Qualified (ideally)
ACA/ ACCA Part Qualified or MAAT also considered
Experience of managing a client portfolio (ideally)
Strong accounts and tax compliance experience
Background in accountancy practice
Good communication skills
